Important Information About Using the Lookup Feature:
Please fill in as much information as possible. The results will try to capture as many members in your area as possible. The NLA is a multi-disciplinary organization, not every result returned by this feature will be a physician unless you specifically select that option. Members of the NLA may be Physicians, , Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Nurses, Pharmacists, Dietitians, Exercise Physiologists and other related disciplines.
All results returned are active members of the National Lipid Association (NLA). Membership in the NLA signifies a special interest in the field of lipidology and members have access to a wide variety of specialized training, education and information related in the field.
Certification in Clinical Lipidology
Physicians who have passed a rigorous credentialing and examination process can be certified in clinical lipidology. Such members carry the designation Diplomate, American Board of Clinical Lipidology and are considered by the NLA to be lipidologists. (please visit lipidboard.org for more information).
Allied health members who have passed a rigorous credentialing and examination process can be certified and are denoted as a Clinical Lipid Specialist (CLS). These individuals have been certified by the Accreditation Council of Clinical Lipidology (please visit www.lipidspecialist.org for more information).
