We planned a field trip called “ finding the fall” from the beginning of October .The bright summer had passed away, and very attractive autumn was flinging its rainbow-tints of beautiful on hill and dale . In these circumstances, one prefers to be alone to enjoy the beauty of nature with various kinds of vivid colors, along with one’s own emotions
“ The foliage has been losing its freshness through the month of August and here and there a yellow leaf itself like the first gray hair amidst the locks of a beauty who has seen one season too many...September is dressing herself in showy dahlias and splendid marigolds and starry zinnias. October, the extravagant sister, has ordered an immense amount of the most gorgeous forest tapestry for her grand reception” Oliver Wendell Holmes said about it from the 19th century
The Autumn started coming up from September to November in the northern hemisphere . In the Southern Hemisphere between April and May. In North America, Autumn is usually considered to start with the September equinox (21 to 24 September) and end with the winter solstice (21 or22 December but it actually started from the middle of October in Michigan where we have been living.
The dawn started with mist and cold wind. Inside the house, everyone waked up and get something necessary for this trip. it was impossible for my own, lack of camera Canon from so long has been used , I had an intention to use it for satisfying my artistic blood . Every imagination went keeping in my mind. Not all anyone loved the Autumn and those with rich emotional feelings about Autumn won’t be able to miss this opportunity .
When it comes to Autumn it means to talk about the various beautiful colors of leaves but not about its climate or weather affected to human. As a matter of fact, The beauty of Autumn was not easily to get because no one knew exactly whenever leaves on trees would start changing their colors and even if they was changing but not all times also beautiful . The mixture of colors between red or reddish and yellowish to yellow and including brown color of rotten leaves also made the artistic soul upset . As the lyrics of a song about it “the Autumn going away for the yellow leaves flying up...”
The Autumn has already been an inspiration of how many musicians and poets. They found their inspiration from changing the colors of leaves , from the cold, blue emotions in unfinished loves. The Autumn is an inspiration to all of those who love her. They have composed so many songs with lovely lyrics complimenting it . “Autumn in Paris” , “ Hanoi Autumn” had been making listener excited and fret, particularly for those who are falling in love or getting lovesick whenever listening

Our car run so quickly to upper north Michigan, it would be estimated to take 4 and a half hours there. All of us felt excited as just few hours more, we would see the landscapes and views full of various vivid beautiful colors on all kinds of leaves of countless trees on both sides the trail some of them we could know its name and majority of others unknown. We didn’t care because simply we just wanted to enjoy the beautiful colors of leaves not theirs names. On free way, all cars did run so quickly as if they had the same goal as we did. But this might be only my subjective feeling and no one knew where they went to... or what for...as far from the downtown, the sky was murky , it was raining . Mists blew up backward and along both sides of cars was moving at top speed
The sound-waves created by strong winds on the Great Lake where we stayed over night sounded like thunders and lights rumbling during in a heavy storm. The Mackinaw city seemed to be more crowded and overloaded with travelers like us. Their cars in the parking lots looked like some bunches of beetles and bugs being laid under the violent attacks of cold winds and heavy rains. The sky became murkier. Inside the hotel room, it’s a lovely and warm atmosphere for the trip members- my lovely family. There was a time and a place for everything and we took advantages to get a lot of photos for each other and landscapes around here- on the beach of one-in- 5 Great Lake of the United States
This trip provided us an interesting experience on upper north Michigan where there are five Great Lakes and the longest bridge Mackinaw in Michigan built in 1958 - the most famous ones in over the World
Someway the Autumn, she didn’t meet us but left so countless cold kisses. I wondered if she remained lukewarm attitude with us or we had no grace to see her as the traditional saying “ having grace even being apart millions of miles still meet each other and if without grace even facing together never company...” we really wanted to see her but if she didn’t we would make to say good bye her for another time
Hey !! Autumn, I’ll see you soon....
