Healthy Carbs for Diabetes



Berries

A cup of raspberries contains about 14 grams of carbohydrates, and a cup of strawberries has just 11 grams. Berries are also low in calories and high in healthy fiber, plus they pack a powerful punch of antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. All told, they're good carbs to include in your diabetes diet. A lab study published in the European Journal of Nutrition even found that a naturally occurring substance in raspberries called ellagic acid specifically helped reverse certain aspects of diabetes.
