As far as eating habits go, I am a "grazer." I do not enjoy cooking and find it a real chore. Can you recommend some healthy foods for my eating style?

With so many options for easy meals, especially in urban areas, there are many ways to eat healthfully as a "grazer." Regardless of your style of eating, you should work toward consuming wholesome, fresh foods — that is, a diet based on lean proteins and plenty of nutritious fruits and vegetables. It's important to stay away from fast foods — which are so easy to pick up but full of saturated and trans fats.
One healthy option is to visit your local store's salad bar and select tuna fish that is water-packed, some beans, and other vegetables, placed on a bed of greens. Other healthy choices include hard-boiled eggs (as long as your cholesterol level isn't elevated), lima beans, mung beans, and the occasional green or black olive, along with some grated Parmesan, over the greens before adding some low-fat dressing.
Picking up a barbecued chicken from a take-out section is another healthy way for a grazer to stay on the up and up. Also, keep nuts on hand — they are a good source of protein, but don't eat too many at one sitting. And always keep your refrigerator stocked with fat-free dairy products such as cottage cheese and yogurt (you can add raisins and granola), fresh fruit salads, veggies and fat-free dip, and hummus and pita bread (goes great with salads).
